Cristiano Ronaldo is worried he won't be able to compete for the major prizes at Manchester United, which is why he wants to leave this summer.

Ronaldo joined United from Juventus last summer and scored 24 goals in 38 games; as a result, United missed out on Champions League qualification and failed to win a trophy for the sixth straight season. Ronaldo is not for sale, according to United, and has a one-year contract left.

Cristiano Ronaldo is worried he won't be able to compete for the major prizes at Manchester United, which is why he wants to leave this summer.
In the latter stages of his career, the 37-year-old feels the need to win even more, but it's believed he fears it may not be achievable at Old Trafford in the upcoming year. The 2021/22 season marked United's fifth consecutive year without a trophy.

Ronaldo is reportedly also disappointed that United hasn't added any players to the roster during the current transfer window. This summer, the club lost thirteen players, but none have yet to return.

Ronaldo has a great deal of respect for United, especially the supporters, and is thought to be "in love" with the team, but if he continues at Old Trafford, this coming season will mark the first time in his career that he will not play Champions League football. The Portugal international last competed in its predecessor, the UEFA Cup, while he was with Sporting Lisbon in the 2002–03 season. United will play in the Europa League for the first time next season.

Ronaldo is eager to leave, but United has taken the position that he is not for sale and that he will stay until the end of his contract, which runs out in the summer of 2023.

 Cristiano Ronaldo is in Portugal!

The Red Devils started their pre-season preparations in Carrington with a number of players today, but Ronaldo is certainly not with the team. Cristiano Ronaldo has been announced in Lisbon, Portugal, at a training camp in Portugal today.
