The Red Devils missed the chance to recruit Christian Pulisic while he was still a young player on Borussia Dortmund's books, according to former Manchester United scout Jorge Alvial.
After progressing through Dortmund's development system and joining the senior team in 2016, Pulisic scored 19 goals in 127 appearances for the team.
The United States international received a £58 million ($75 million) investment from Chelsea into his potential last year, which he has progressively repaid over the course of a promising debut season in the Premier League.
It has been stated that Manchester United, whose names are being linked with many players in the transfer window, want to sign Christian Pulisic on loan.
Newcastle United, Juventus and Atletico Madrid are reported to be other clubs that have made an offer to sign Pulisic.
